PRI 2016 Provides a platform for new relationships and alliances for BTnT Motorsports, setting the stage for an exciting 2017.
December 11, 2016
Having just returned from PRI 2016 in Indianapolis, BTnT Motorsports is pleased to announce its new strategic alliance with the Minnesota based TAD team of Dean Dubbin and DMP Awnings. The new alliance will include combined purchasing strength, data sharing, and tuning assistance. By combining resources, both Team DMP and BTnT Motorsports should be able to not only benefit from each others experience, but also should result in a higher potential for strong points finishes for each team in both the NHRA Lucas Oil National and Regional series in 2017.
Also at the PRI 2016 show, the BTnT Motorsports team was able to interact with many of the top manufacturers and suppliers in all of motorsports, hopefully setting the stage for improved performance, both on and off track. The BTnT Motorsports team will be testing and providing feedback to King Engine Bearings, a leading engine bearing manufacturer, on specific engine bearing coatings and how they can benefit a Top Alcohol engine.
There are several other manufacturers and suppliers who are in negotiations with us at BTnT Motorsports at this time, and it was good to meet and interact with these fine companies' representatives face to face at PRI 2016. We are excited about the potential these relationships represent to our team, and look forward to working with these individuals and companies in the future. Stay tuned for more news and announcements in the near future...

BTnT Motorsports acquires new tractor trailer for the 2017 season.
December 24, 2016
Merry Christmas to all! We are taking a couple of days off to celebrate Christmas with our families, and wish the very best to all in this holiday season. As work progresses on our Funny Car, in preparation for the upcoming season Bill has purchased a 53' Champion trailer and Kenworth tractor. Previously owned by the Top Fuel team of Terry McMillan, the larger lift gate equipped trailer will provide much needed room on the road for our growing inventory of spare parts and equipment needed to compete in the ultra tough Top Alcohol Funny Car class. Being a well used older Top Fuel trailer, it needs some TLC and organizing to suit our needs, but we think the benefits of being better organized and better equipped will be extremely valuable to us as we go into our first season seriously attempting to accumulate points in the brutal TAFC battleground.
Special Thanks to Fineline Signs & Graphics for the new look wrap on the BTnT Motorsports Mustang TAFC
February 25, 2017
BTnT Motorsports would like to extend a special thank you to Steve Johnson and his crew at Fineline Signs and Graphics for the incredible job they did designing and installing the new wrap on our Mustang Top Alcohol Funny Car. We wanted a new look that screamed "Muscle Car" and Fineline delivered yet again. As one of very few remaining Mustang bodies in TA/FC, we felt that we needed something that stood out from the crowd of new Camaro bodies that have overpopulated the class. The Mustang is still a good body design, and we intend to prove its continued worth as a viable alternative to the sea of Camaro's in competition today. The "Boss" theme has been a popular look for Mustangs for many years, and we think Steve and company have delivered an outstanding looking race car. Thanks again....
Bill Bernard and the BTnT Motorsports team set new TAFC E.T. Record in Earlville, IA
September 11, 2016
After struggling during qualifying managing only a 7th best of 5.71, the BTnT Motorsports team figured the tune-up out in a big way for first round, running a track record E.T. of 5.529 at 262 MPH. After dispatching Kirk Williams in round one and Scott McVey with an equally impressive 5.53 in round two, the team looked forward to the final, where they would meet Doug Gordon, who led qualifying with a then track record of 5.54. Both drivers lost traction in the final round match-up, with Bill Bernard doing an excellent job of pedaling to outrun Doug Gordon 5.63 to 5.70. Unfortunately, Bill was tardy at the tree, allowing Doug to turn on the win light. After runner up finishes in Earlville two years running, the team is looking forward to their first win at the upcoming Regional Event in Noble, OK on October 7th through the 9th. Then it will be on to the NHRA AAA Fall Nationals in Dallas TX, where the team will match their '09 Mustang TAFC with the best racers the class has to offer on a national stage. Stay tuned.....
